Over the past three months the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM), the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba (CRPNM) and the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) have been working collaboratively on a document to interpret the scopes of practice of each of the three nursing professions. The purpose of this joint document is to promote understanding of the concept of scope of practice, how scopes of practice differ among the three nursing professions and the factors to consider when making decisions about the utilization of all types of nurses.
National Professional Regulatory Standards Consultation
CRNM is seeking input from registered nurses across the province about draft National Professional Regulatory Standards. The intent of the national standards, if approved by the CRNM Board, would be to replace the existing Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses. The College has developed a survey to collect feedback from Manitoba RNs which should take about 20 minutes to complete. Please take a few moments to provide your feedback. Your comments are greatly appreciated.
