If you are concerned about the practice or conduct of a registered nurse, the first course of action might be to discuss the problem directly with the individual or her/his supervisor as difficulties often result from poor communication or misunderstandings. If you would like to discuss the issue, or if the issue cannot be resolved to your satisfaction, you can contact the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
Making a Complaint
To make a formal complaint, you must put your complaint in writing addressed to:
Executive Director
College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba
890 Pembina Hwy
Winnipeg MB R3M 2M8
A complaint should contain the name of the registered nurse(s) and provide enough detail to identify the incident(s) or issues in the complaint. It should include your signature and contact information. The Executive Director will provide a copy of the complaint letter to the registered nurse named in the letter in order to provide him/her an opportunity to respond.
For further details about lodging a complaint and the complaints process, please see the brochure entitled
