Volunteer Opportunity for Med-Surg Nurses

A group of Med-Surg Nurses initially attained emerging group status, and formed a Board which has since received full funding to establish CNA national certification for Med-Surg Nurses with April 2010 as the target date for the first exam. The Board has developed a critical pathway, and timelines for developing CNA certification as well as the Logo, Mission statement and Vision statement. Work has begun on developing National Standards and planning is underway for competency development and exam question writing sessions. We would also like volunteers for competency development and exam question writing sessions, which is an awesome, once in a lifetime opportunity. It is also a great way to network with colleagues across Canada and a wonderful addition to your Continued Competency journal. If you are interested in volunteering for any of these sessions, please contact Nicole Simpson at Nicole.Simpson@capitalhealth.ca
