Registration Renewal Deadline Fast Approaching

To allow sufficient time for data entry and the processing of more than 12,000 registration applications before the end of the year, members are reminded that an administrative deadline of November 3, 2008 has been set for the return of your renewal form and payment of fees.

Renew Online Today
Online renewal is fast, secure and easier than ever before. Take 5 minutes and renew online today at www.crnm.mb.ca In addition to Visa and MasterCard, for the first time, we will accept cheques as a method of payment for online renewal. Members simply need to complete the online renewal and drop off or mail your cheque to the College. Once we match up your cheque with your renewal application, we will process it. As an added incentive for renewing online, there are weekly prizes of $25 gift cards from leading merchants right up until the administrative deadline and a grand prize draw of a cash payment equal to the winner’s registration renewal fee. Renew online before the administrative deadline on Monday, November 3rd and you will be entered into the draws.

Registration Renewal Applications Subject to Late Fee after November 30

A late fee automatically applies to any registration renewal application received after November 30, 2008. The $50.00 late penalty (plus GST) is in addition to the registration renewal fee payable by the member. A certificate of practice will not be issued until all fees are paid.

Unauthorized Practice Penalty

An unauthorized practice penalty will be imposed where a member has failed to renew by December 31 and practiced nursing in violation of the RN Act. The penalty is $500 (plus GST) and is over and above the practicing registration fee. It applies for any calendar year, or part year, when a person practiced in Manitoba while not registered to practice nursing. 2. A completed self-development plan, which includes the following 3 components:
