Below is a listing of temporary registered nurses and registered nurses (extended practice)/nurse practitioners currently registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba on the Temporary Practice Register. Please see the

Category I
RNs: Away from practice for less than 5 years. No restrictions on scope of practice.
There are currently no temporary registered nurses on the register.
RN(EP)s/NPs: Away from active practice for less than 3 years. No restrictions on scope of practice.
There are currently no temporary registered nurses (extended practice)/nurse practitioners on the register.
Category II
RNs: Away from practice more than 5 years, but less than 10 years.
Condition: The Member may not be in charge of a nursing unit, and must practice with another registered nurse (other than those holding temporary practicing status) readily available for in-person consultation.
There are currently no temporary registered nurses on the register.
RN(EP)s/NPs: Away from active practice more than 3 years, but less than 5 years.
Condition: The Members may not be in charge of a nursing unit, and must practice with another RN(EP)/NP (other than those holding temporary practicing status) or a physician readily available for in-person consultation.
There are currently no temporary registered nurses (extended practice)/nurse practitioners on the register.
Category III
RNs: Away from practice more than 10 years. Reviewed on a case-by-case basis, but typically not eligible for temporary practicing status registration.
There are currently no temporary registered nurses on the register.
RN(EP)s/NPs: Away from active practice more than 5 years. Reviewed on a case-by-case basis, but typically not eligible for temporary registered nurse extended practice registration.
There are currently no temporary registered nurses (extended practice)/nurse practitioners on the register.
