There is a new way to apply

This application is for you if:

1. You are or have ever been registered as an RN in another Canadian jurisdiction.
2. You passed the entry-level nursing exam in another Canadian jurisdiction and did not obtain initial RN registration. (If you completed your basic nursing education program on or after May 31, 2018 you must have obtained initial registration in your home jurisdiction in order to be eligible for registration in Manitoba.)

Updates to Currency of Practice Requirements

Due to substantial and ongoing concerns regarding patient safety and ensuring safe, effective RN practice, the College is now requiring Canadian RN applicants to obtain evidence of currency of practice documenting 450 RN practice hours in Canada in the past 2 years, or 1,125 RN practice hours in Canada in the past 5 years. If this is not feasible, the College is also providing the following alternative options to demonstrate currency of practice: 

1. Completion of the full Nurse Re-Entry Program (NREP) at Red River College Polytechnic; or  
2. Successful completion a Clinical Competence Assessment (CCA) and any required remedial education in the NREP; or 
3. If you completed your basic nursing education in Canada in the 4 years prior to your application, you will be considered to have met the requirement for currency of practice; or
4. If you have successfully completed a CCA or substantially equivalent competency assessment (SEC) and any required remedial education in Manitoba or another province/territory in the 4 years prior to your application, you will also be considered to have met the currency of practice requirement.

Payment Options

Currently, fees can be paid via e-transfer, credit card, or certified cheque or money order sent via Canada Post.

Work will not begin on your application until payment has been received.

To pay by e-transfer*

1. Ensure your completed application form has been submitted to the College.
2. Create and send the e-transfer to: etransfer@crnm.mb.ca
3. If the bank account used to make the e-transfer is listed under a name different from the name on your application, please send a second email to etransfer@crnm.mb.ca associating the name on your application to the name of the bank account used for the e-transfer. E-transfers which are not followed up with the required identification information will be rejected.
