CRNM joins Nursys Canada
On June 24, 2026, The College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (College) joined Nursys Canada. Nursys Canada is a public safety feature that enables participating Canadian nursing regulatory bodies to access real-time regulatory information about individuals who have been registered and licensed as nurses elsewhere in Canada.
National work on this initiative began in 2023, when Health Canada made it a priority with a $2.5 million investment to improve health workforce planning.
Regulatory bodies across the country are joining the database through a phased approach. While joining Nursys Canada does not change registration processes at this time, we are encouraged about the potential impact this initiative may bring to the work of regulation and protection of the public.
