Investigator
Reporting to the Manager of Professional Conduct, the Investigator implements the directions and decisions of the Complaints Investigation Committee (CIC) and panels of the Inquiry Committee; receives and manages reports concerning registrant’s compliance. They also monitor compliance of registered nurses through implementation of the directions and decisions of the CIC and Inquiry Panels to enforce the standards of practice and practice expectations.

Volunteer Opportunities
RN: Apply to be on the Continuing Competency Committee
Term Beginning, January 2026
Registered nurses (RNs) and registered nurse, nurse practitioners (RN(NP))s participate in the Continuing Competency Program on an annual basis. By completing the annual requirements of the program, RNs assure the public they are committed to maintaining and improving their competence as a registered nurse.
We are looking for a direct care Registered Nurse to serve on the College’s Continuing Competency Committee. This Committee is responsible for making decisions regarding the continuing competency program, including follow-up from the Continuing Competency Review.
Meetings are held annually in the first quarter of each year to establish criteria and supporting documents for the continuing competency program and review. Additionally, one to two meetings are held to review RNs continuing competency results at the call of the Chair.
Qualifications
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Expertise in quality assurance
- Knowledge of performance assessment and/ or continuous learning
Expectations
- Serve a three-year term.
- Attend meetings and participate in teleconferences/virtual meetings.
- Possess reliable computer and internet access.
A stipend is offered for committee work. We reimburse rural and northern committee members for expenses when travel is required.
