College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba response to NRHA critical staffing shortage

The College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (College) is aware of the state of emergency declared by the Northern Health Region (NRHA) regarding critical staffing shortages at Thompson General Hospital and The Pas General Hospital.  

Since we were notified, we have been working directly with NRHA to expedite the registration of out-of-province registered nurses so they can support care delivery in northern Manitoba.   

The College has, and will continue to, respond to these situations with urgency and adaptability with our partners in Manitoba and Canada.
