Registration FAQs
General Application
What happens after I submit my application?
Once you have submitted your application and pay the processing fee, your application is placed in the queue for initial review.
*Please allow approximately 10 business days for staff to review your application. At that time, you will receive an email with further information on application requirements and how to provide documents.
What does each application status mean?
During the application process, your application will be given different statuses. These statuses let you know what stage your application is at and what steps, if any, are needed next.

- “New” – You have accessed an application, but it has not yet been submitted.
- “Submitted” – Your application has been submitted and the processing fee has been paid. Your application has entered the queue for the initial review. Document upload and Comment Box functionality disabled.
- “Returned For updates” – Staff have reviewed your application and any documents received so far. Important: Always check the Comment Box for updates from staff, AND your requirement checklist, as that is where detailed instructions regarding each requirement are noted. Document upload and Comment Box functionality enabled.
- “Awaiting Documents” – This status will appear when the only outstanding requirement(s) are documents being sent to the College from a third party (e.g., Verification of Registration, Practice Hours).
- “Approved Pending Payment ” – This status will appear when your application has been approved, but payment of the registration fee is required before registration is complete.
- “Approved” – This status will appear once all application requirements have been met. *If additional steps are needed, you will receive further information by email.
How do I upload documents to my application?
For most applications, you can upload documents by clicking the Upload
button next to each requirement. Once all documents are uploaded, click Submit at the bottom of the application.
For Canadian RN applications and Canadian NP applications you will find the upload button at the bottom of your application.
Important: After you submit your application, you will not be able to upload documents while staff review it. Once the review is complete, your application will be returned to you with updates, if needed. This review process can take up to 10 business days, depending on application volumes.
Where do I submit my response to the “other requirements” requesting additional information?
“Other requirements” will be added to your requirement list if we require additional information. You can provide your response(s) in the comment box located at the bottom of your application. Please make sure to address all questions identified in the “other requirements” before clicking the “Submit” button.
*Please note that comment history will remain on your application.
To view and submit comments for Other Requirements, click Update to open the application form. Your existing comments will appear at the top of the form. To add or edit a response, scroll to the bottom of the application form and enter your comments in the Comment box:

How do I provide confirmation of my Professional Liability Protection purchase?
In the Professional Liability Protection section of the application, click on the blue “Click Me” button to verify your purchase in real-time. Once verified, please submit your application so staff can mark the requirement as complete.

Requirements
My third-party document was sent to the College, why isn’t it marked as complete on my requirement checklist?
Once a document has been reviewed by staff, your requirement checklist will be updated. We appreciate your patience as documents are reviewed in the order in which they are received and can take up to 10 business days from receipt to be reflected on your checklist.
I received an email stating my application was “Returned for updates.” What are the next steps I need to take?”
You will receive an email each time your application has been updated by staff and returned to you. Detailed instructions from staff and remaining outstanding requirement information can be found by:
- Reviewing the Comment Box to find updated instructions from staff; and
- Reviewing your Requirement Checklist, as that is where detailed instructions regarding each requirement are noted.
